Our Vacation {Part Three}

Ryan and Jamie decided to spend their honeymoon on Oahu so we extended our vacation a couple days to spend some time on the North Shore playing tour guide.
We spent 2 days and 1 night with them and had a lot of fun.
Zach and I love having people here to show around the island.

We first took them to Waimea Bay. The water was amazingly calm and warm and
Zach, Ryan, and I jumped off Jump Rock.
From there we went to Waimea Falls.
Zach and I had never been there before so we didn't know what to expect but we are glad we went, even though they charge a lot to get in.
The walk to the falls was pretty with all the natural Hawaiian foliage.
From there we went Popai'loa beach to try to find sea turtles but we didn't see any.

Jamie breaking the one rule there was:
no standing on the rocks

It was fun to be able to swim to the falls

and we got to stay a night!

The next day we went to Lanikai
and they went snorkeling.

Our wedding present to them was a romantic sunset dinner cruise
which was actually a lot of fun.

The cruise strolled along the Waikiki coast line

We are glad we got to spend time with Ryan and Jamie in Hawaii.
We really had a great vacation!

Our Vacation {Part Two}

The bride and groom asked the wedding party to stay the night before the wedding up in the mountains in a cabin to make sure everyone was there and ready for the wedding. They also allowed significant others to stay. It was great for Zach to be with old friends again and I enjoyed getting to know his friends better. That night we just hung out and went to dinner with everyone.

The cabin was huge and it slept all 16 of us comfortably

The wedding was not until 4:00pm the next day so we had a few hours in the morning to do whatever.
We played a game of horseshoes, went on a walk, and took a little nap.

Our first time playing horseshoes and we won!

Then around 1:00 we all headed over to the wedding venue, which was beautiful and attached to another cabin where everyone got ready.
When we arrived the wedding decorating was underway and you could tell people were stressed out. We tried to help but also tried to stay out of the way.

Before the ceremony we took pictures and explored the venue.

Their ceremony was quirky and unique

I love this guy

Ryan surprised Jamie with a biker ceremony
It was cute!

My favorite picture of the whole event...
Zach and his oldest friend, Nick were the last ones on the dance floor

It was truly a fun & beautiful wedding!
Glad we got to be a part of it.

Our Vacation {Part One}

Our week in California was a busy one but we couldn't have asked for a better vacation!
The reason for our trip to California was to be a part of Zach's friends wedding.
Zach was a groomsman so we were a part of a two day event up in the mountains.
Our vacation had 3 parts to it so I will be posting accordingly.
I apologize in advance for the picture overload.
We had a lot of fun.

We took the redeye from Honolulu to LAX, which we loved and were able to have an extra day in Lancaster.

On the plane and super excited

At 6:00am we were greeted and treated to breakfast by dad and Berna
and then welcomed home by this sign from Zach's parents

One of my highlights of the week was having my friend Becky come stay with us and going to our first Dodger game.
That day, Wednesday was also Zach's mom, Mary's birthday so her and David joined us for the game.
After the game we drove (in crazy traffic) down to Orange County to have pizza with Zach's brother, Keith and his family.

We had to get Dodger blue T-shirts

I was so happy I got to hang out with Becky!!

It was a great afternoon at the ball park!

Once we were in Orange County we had fun with Zach's nieces
 Morgan
&
Baily
They all had fun swimming

On Thursday we went to dinner with my mom's side of the family.
I loved seeing them.
My aunt Cola, Uncle Greg, Papa, & Grandma

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner.
Zach loved seeing all his old friends.

The groom Ryan, the reverend Tone Zone, and Zach

On Saturday, before we took off for the mountains
we got together with Zach's family for a baby shower for this brother, Jonathan and his wife, Polin.
They are expecting a baby boy in a couple weeks.

We are so excited for these two!

It was great to be with them

Then we headed up to Lake Arrowhead for the wedding

A Tea & Books Baby Shower For 3

A lot of people we know are expecting little babies.
Three of whom I work with.
On Sunday afternoon I attended a high tea baby shower for my
boss, her nanny, and a co-worker at the
amazing Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki.
It was a lot of fun and the tea was delicious!

It was good to be with these ladies outside of work

We were instructed to bring copies of our favorite children's book for the babies

Such a cute theme

Another co-worker made the mommies a diaper cupcake, so creative

Tea sandwiches

We had our choice of 1 of 6 Hawaiian teas

Amalis is expecting her first baby; a boy

Shawna is expecting her first baby; a girl

& my boss is expecting her 3rd baby; her first girl

So excited for these happy mommies!!

For the Love of Puppies

Last night we went to the farm for a little dinner party and to see the puppies.
Oh my gosh, they are so cute!
If we lived in a place that allowed pets there would be no question we would get one.
Twitch gave birth to 12 puppies, only one of which died.
So the farm is full of dogs right now.

It was so fun to hold them and watch them play together

I want one!!

Look at how cute they are

That's a lot of puppies surrounding Elko

The proud mama

Our old ladder got replaced with these amazing stairs
It was another good night on the farm.
We are so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives.

In other news,
Zach and I signed up for a month of unlimited yoga.
I am so happy and proud of Zach wanting to try and learn about yoga.
He is doing so well with it and we enjoy going together.

Also, we are looking forward to our trip to Lancaster at the end of this month.
We are going home for Zach's friend's wedding.
It's going to be a very busy week for us but we are so excited to see friends and family.
But until then we'll continue to enjoy our time on the island!
